Fabian Amaru Muenala- Branding Carishina

This year has been an important year for lacarishina.net. We launched our travel services in Ecuador to the avail of our community of explorers who are passionate about folklore, culture & identity. With a new web presence, we had the serendipitous opportunity of developing the first phase of our Brand image with Fabian Amaru Muenala of AM Branding. The most important aspect of traveling and this space is the people. So consider this the first of many articles with profiles of amazing people I found in my path.

From “The Barrio”, Fabian grew up in the South Bronx. “the diversity that I grew up with, was a cultural mosaic. Growing up with children from different parts of Latin America had a tremendous impact on my view of the world. Since I was very young, I learned about the cultures of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru & Guatemala. I learned about their food, their music and some traditions. The South Bronx has its own culture, the world of Hip-Hop & R&B impacted my young taste in music and style. We are products of our environment.

I went to school in the South Bronx at C.S.150, junior high school and the diversity exposure that I obtained from it, formed in one way or another my interest in learning about cultures, people and myself.”

I wanted to find someone who could educate our community about Ecuadorian indigenous culture, which is a fan out culture that reaches all the territories in the Americas. Fabian was able to capture my intend and transformed our ideas into a whole call to action and feeling that encompasses the essence we hope to maintain on every interaction with this community.

I have pride in my heart to have the opportunity to work with someone so talented and look forward to continuing work with Fabian on this “forever figure out project”. Carishina. An Ecuador Travel Company. A Contemplation of Folklore Culture & Identity.

Carishina Branding Journey

“Runas (Humans) Inhabit the middle level of existence, Kay Pacha, represented by The Puma. Earth, the sacred, is where all humans live and interact. The Puma was the animal believed to protect Allpamama (mother earth.) Carishina has the potential to evolve into a community of fierce & conscious pumas.”
